U.S. Runs Hot & Cold
One of the big stories this week here in the U.S. is the heat in the Central part of the country. And indeed, high dew points combined with hot temperatures to push heat index values into the 110's yesterday in parts of the Midwest.
But this morning those in the Appalachians, especially Pennsylvania, awoke to abnormally cold temperatures. Just goes to show you how your local weather can play tricks on you.
My weather station here in State College fell to 47 F. Some other readings around the state:
Smethport, PA: 40 Bradford & Tobyhannah, PA: 42 Mount Holly, NJ: 43
