Two Feet of Rain in Florida Panhandle
One of the stories the media is not covering well today is the two feet of rain that has fallen in the Florida Panhandle during the past day and a half. In the video blog below, I go in-depth with Google Earth to take a look at these incredible rainfall totals. The NWS is reporting that up to 24 inches (2 feet) of rain has fallen near Pensacola, at Gulf Breeze, Florida (UFO Capital of the World) [Google Map]. Because the area affected was limited, there has not been a lot of news about flooding.
