UPDATE FROM THE NHC:THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM FAY MADE LANDFALL OVER KEY WEST FLORIDA AT 3 PM EDT

Fay's track (snapshot) couldn't be in a "better" place as far as correcting drought, and may in fact help the Southeast numerically, by correcting some awful rainfall deficits there, but it will be too much, too fast, and could still cause considerable runoff and flooding.
