Tropical Storm Danny Strength, Vs. Emily 1993
UPDATE (11 AM): The storm has been named and our official track is very similar to the one I showed earlier, with the storm making landfall in Long Island Saturday night. We are still not sure about strength. The models seem to think that he will be a borderline Cat 1 Hurricane off the NC Coast, so one would presume we're not talking about a monster by the time he gets to New England. In fact the NHC gives only a 10% chance of Danny ever making Category 2 status. (It's also interesting that they are warning "Southeast" but not "Northeast" residents to keep an eye on the storm, given that their path leads to the Northeast).
