Torrential Hawaii Rain, Coastal Flooding in Europe
I don't usually write about International weather, but I saw a couple of interesting graphics that we had drawn today. First, Hawaii is in for torrential rainfall through Saturday night, as a "Kona Low" thunders over the islands.
Did you know? We have a Hawaii Radar and Satellite that you can watch the action on.
And next, check this out - the northern coasts of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and France may be in for some tidal flooding as a long "fetch" of wind from an approaching storm system piles up water like a hurricane's storm surge.
This is the result of a major winter storm that will spread heavy snow across much of Europe. AccuWeather.com's world weather news blog (PREMIUM | PRO) talks more about the pending cold, wind and snow there.
Did you know? We have a whole UK & Ireland weather website, and a new & improved Europe Satellite Image.
