Tornadoes Hit N. Plains, Canada
Tornadoes hit the northern plains and Canada Saturday night. CTV says that 150,000 lost power in Ontario. That site also has photos of the damage and lightning.
Here in the U.S., several chilling reports, including winds to 60 mph and hail to 2.75" in diameter (golf ball size) were received by the National Weather Service in northern North Dakota:
ROSEAU, MINNESOTA: MULTIPLE FUNNELS ASSOCIATED WITH STORM, SEVEN TRAILERS OVERTURNED AT MARVIN WINDOWS FACTORY.
The severe storm near Roseau, MN, showing a hook echo indicating tornadic activity, was on the edge of most radar scopes. A few screen captures of the storm are shown above.
