Tornadoes Hit Louisiana
Nearly a dozen tornado reports were filed with the NWS [JessePedia] yesterday as severe storms raged in Louisiana. The SPC [JessePedia] had only issued a "slight risk" of severe storms yesterday, and continues that forecast for the remainder of the Southeast today.
In New Orleans, CNN reports that a roof was ripped off a hotel and six houses were collapsed around 3:30 this morning. Three were injured. Photos of the hotel accompany their story. You can download a radar loop of the image below, showing the storms overnight in the damage area.
