Tornadoes Hit Iowa

Severe weather broke out today in the Midwest and Plains and continues this evening. 22 tornadoes were reported (mostly in central Iowa, as of 9:30 p.m. Eastern) by government storm reports. Hail to 2 inches in diameter was also reported by spotters in Iowa. There are several tornado watches and warnings currently in effect.
Disaster News reports that nine tornadoes touched down, damaging at least 45 homes and knocking out power to 13,000.
