Tornado Near San Diego, California?
There was one lone tornado report this Friday -- in Encinitas, on the coast north of San Diego, California (map) about 4:30 Pacific time. Tornadoes are rare in southern California and The Tornado Project lists less than 20 in San Diego county through the year 2000. The report in its entirety reads:
Below is a radar image showing a tornadic signature near Encinitas and also I saved off a radar loop from AccuWeather.com RadarPlus during the time of the report. There was also a second tornadic signature to the east after the spotter report.

As of this evening, the story had not been picked up by any Google News reporting agencies.
Thundersnow with hail was also reported by a NWS spotter at Cuyamaca Peak in San Diego County:
Several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued northward in Central California Friday evening.
