Tornado Hit Okinawa Last Week
My apologies on the delay in bringing you this story... a tornado hit the U.S. Camp Schwab Post Exchange in Okinawa* on November 18th. Minor damage was done to barracks, the post office, vehicles, a parking lot and power lines were damaged. Photos of flipped vehicles are available on JapanUpdate's site, which states the severe climatological history of the area dictates that a tornado in Okinawa as "rare":
