ORIGINAL POST:
Now there's something you don't see every day. Tornado Watches, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning AND Winter Storm Warnings in the SAME PLACE! Eastland County, Texas takes the cake for having all three of these advisories in effect at 4:40 CST today.
Looking a little closer at with AccuWeather.com RadarPlus (the image below has been enhanced for clarity), it is clear from the 8 PM image that a lot of lightning (several thousand strikes) is occurring in areas with very low temperatures, and hence winter precipitation. Counties with a blue outline have winter advisories; red is the Tornado Watch. You can see that about 18 counties on this map alone have both.
The following locations in Oklahoma reported thundersnow (snow during a thunderstorm) at 7 PM CENTRAL:
Chandler, OK
Sallisaw, OK
Pauls Valley, OK
Seminole, OK
