ENHANCED RADAR (PREMIUM | PRO)
1. There are storms ongoing in eastern Texas and southern Alabama / Florida Panhandle. One of these storms has already produced a tornado near Troy, Alabama, according to CNN on-air (Tornado Warning was Doppler-only) though there are no articles on Google News yet.
2. This outbreak will not wait until evening to begin, like many classic Plains outbreaks. The SPC [JessePedia] acknowledges the morning storms but says they have "struggled" to get to severe levels. They predict that "more robust" storms will occur "by the mid to late morning across the lower Mississippi valley" then move eastward through the evening, with gradually diminishing severe potential.
3. There is still a secondary threat of severe storms overnight, they say, in the eastern most portions of the Southeast, but they are unconvinced of the potential at this time.
