The Real Winter 2006-2007 Forecast
UPDATE: The links in the paragraph below were updated the next morning when we added our Press Release and Video.
I posted last month when we had a premilinary Winter forecast. Now the final forecast (PREMIUM | PRO) has officially been released, and it's a little different than NOAA's. A video (PREMIUM | PRO) by Ken Reeves is also available.
This document has entered its fourth installment for private clients. The forecast was already available on the Pro site (as of Monday night). Joe Bastardi and our team of forecasters addresses the El Nino situation along with other factors. Want to know how much snow you'll get this winter? Check the map (PREMIUM | PRO). We may not be perfect but we're willing to hang it all out there, who else is doing that?
NOAA [JessePedia] issued a preliminary forecast last week, or last month depending on where you looked (see this entry for an explanation), and presumably will update that forecast tomorrow as promised. As promised last week in a blog entry discussing NOAA's "prelim" release, a video (permalink) is shown below with a couple of our meteorologists discussing the NOAA issuance. This clip is from the Point CounterPoint Video, which pits AccuWeather.com meteorologist Ken Reeves against Joe Bastardi, and is available daily on the Video Page of our subscription services PREMIUM | PRO).
