The El Nino Winter, Snow Already
Due to popular demand, our graphic artists have created this map showing what a strong El Niño [JessePedia] would have on the winter season in the United States. Note that the El Niño NOAA mentioned the other day is not strong yet, but it could become stronger this Fall. Want more detailed information on what El Niño is and the weather it might cause? Check out Elliot Abrams' blog (PREMIUM | PRO).
Speaking of winter, it has officially begun in the Northern Rockies. One to three inches is expected in the mountains, with as much as half a foot falling at the highest elevations, mostly in Alberta and British Columbia. No snow spotter reports have been received yet from the National Weather Service or the SnowMatrix, which collects amateur snowfall reports.
