The Barrens of Scotia Range
AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi measured -14 degrees F last night at a local cold spot known to locals as "The Barrens of Scotia Range." Now, I've never seen these so-called Barrens up close, but I think that we should install a weather station there because it's always super-cold at that location.
I just stepped outside, where we've risen to a scorching 17 degrees for our daily high temperature.
Let me tell you, it's still eyeball-burning, nose-hair-freezing cold out there.
