Ten Inches of Rain in Minnesota
Residents in Minnesota are still suffering today from flooding over the weekend. Heavy rains dropped between 8 and 10 inches of rain in the southern part of the state Saturday night. KARE says that some residents had over six feet of water in their basements (video). It could affect the key crop in the area, soybeans, if farmers are unable to harvest later this week due to more rain. The floods affected Faribault, Martin and Freeborn counties, including the town of Winnebago City.
