Storm Update, 65 mph for Blue Ridge

The National Weather Service is predicting wind gusts as high as 65 mph for the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina and Virginia Saturday. Various wind advisories (PREMIUM | PRO) have been issued.

In Southwest North Carolina, they say "HIGH WINDS ARE LIKELY TO CAUSE SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES ACROSS THE REGION" and in Southwest Virginia / Northwest North Carolina they are warning that "WIND GUSTS OF 55 TO 65 MPH ARE LIKELY ESPECIALLY OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE BLUE RIDGE LATER SATURDAY."
