Southern California Record Lows
The number of record low temperatures this weekend in Southern California has been pretty impressive. Cities such as Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Sacramento, and Eureka all set record lows. Of note was the record in Los Angeles which also marked the first time in 16 years that the temperature had been at or below 36 degrees:
THE LAST TIME WE REACH A TEMPERATURE AT OR BELOW 36 DEGREES AT DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES OCCURRED ON DECEMBER 22 1990
And Lancaster, CA broke their monthly record, coming within one degree of their all-time record low temperature...
LANCASTER TEMPERATURE OF 03 DEGREES TODAY SET A NEW MONTHLY RECORD FOR JANUARY. THE COLDEST ALL TIME RECORD FOR LANCASTER WAS 02 DEGREES SET DECEMBER 24 1984.
