Snow Traded For Ice On DGEX Storm Hype
The DGEX Forecast Model [JessePedia] has changed its mind this morning about the storm on the 4th - heavy snow still follows behind the front, but only to central Pennsylvania and New York. No more snow was predicted starting with the image shown below (so nothing east of there will get it).
Then, however, the DGEX swings up a coastal sleet storm of historic proportions for the major cities:
The GFS solution is strikingly similar but keeps more of the sleetstorm offshore.
