Snow Level Unusually Low in California
Unusually cold and snowy weather is headed for Southern California. Ken Clark's blog (PREMIUM | PRO) says:
Photo gallery user Logic snapped the photo at right of a developing cumulonimbus cloud at The Sea Ranch, California yesterday. The photographer says "A fully developed cumulonimbus cloud is a rare event on the California Coast. Convecitve activity is common - but it is a summer event when the air is dry. Moist air is common in the winter but then the air is usually stable."
