Here at AccuWeather's Headquarters in State College, PA, the snow started about 9:15 a.m. and you can see it on the AccuCam. It is coming down really heavy and starting to stick to grassy areas. The snowflakes are huge and it's not just the meteorologists here who are glued to the windows.
Now, interestingly enough, it hadn't started snowing yet at my house an hour after it did at AccuWeather, according to the weather camera there. That's probably due to the elevation thing -- checking TopoZone it looks like AccuWeather HQ is about 100 feet higher than where I live.
As the sun began to rise elsewhere in the East on Tuesday morning, it was clear from several webcams that predictions of snow (this early in October!) from our Superstorm were coming true. There is also some snow showing up on some of the Pennsylvania D.O.T. webcams.
