Snow Amounts and Sleet Chase Videos
UPDATE (3 PM): Blog reader Chris reports: "I drove north from Springfield to my home and Greenfield at 12:30 and on a 10 mile section of Route 91 south I counted over 30 vehicles off the road or in accidents and at least 5 jack-knifed tractor trailers."
ORIGINAL POST:
Here are the highest snowfall amounts so far reported by NWS spotters and blog readers as of 2 PM Eastern:

NORTH CHATAM, NY: 4.3"
MANCHESTER, CT: 4.0"
WANTAGE, NJ: 3.7"
Addison, NY: 3.3" (SnowMatrix)
CANTON, PA: 3.0"
GOSHEN, MA: 3.0"
Freezing rain has been reported in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, and New Jersey but the highest amounts reported by spotters are:
State College, PA: 1.0" (& sleet)
SOUDERTON, PA: 0.8"
SOMERVILLE, NJ: 0.6" (& sleet)
And now for something completely different, three amigos (Henry, myself and Shawn, a storm chaser from AccuWeather's Forecasting ranks) attempting to do a proof-of-concept for uploading storm chase video from the field (no pun intended). We hooked Henry's cell phone up to Verizon's Broadband Access (on the pay-by-day feature which is about $2) and used our proprietary blogging tools to upload our videos to AccuWeather.com. The first video is the real thing, the second is some B-Roll behind-the-scenes stuff I recorded. Henry has one additional video on his blog.
