Sleetstorm For AMS Show?
Hundreds of meteorologists attending next week's American Meteorological Society 2007 Conference in San Antonio, Texas, could be in for a sleetstorm of historic proportions. The DGEX Forecast Model [JessePedia] predicts heavy sleet to be widespread in central Texas on Monday:
And the GFS thinks that a snow and freezing rain mix could still be hanging around by Wednesday.
Ironically, the location was probably chosen in part due to its normally warm (>60 F) weather in January.
