UPDATE 12 PM: Here's a great shot of some big waves on the New Hampshire coast from one of our Facebook Fans.
Waves at buoy #44005 off the coast have built to over 20 feet.
ORIGINAL POST: We are sticking to our original forecast that this Nor'easter will bring heavy snow and high winds to parts of New York and Pennsylvania (and high winds to much of the Northeast quadrant of the country). It's time to sit back and watch the reports as they come in.
The storm is already cranking this morning over southern New England. But snow barely stopped last night in the interior areas. Here's a list of snowfall amounts from the storm that ended yesterday:
Ludlowe, VT: 32.3"KANCAMAGUS Savoy, MA: 28.5" Altamont, NY: 26.5" Kancamagus, NH: 26.0" Saylorsburg, PA: 8.5"
Can you imagine having that much snow on the ground with another couple of feet coming, plus blowing and drifting? For some, it's going to be a winter nightmare. Stay tuned to my blog for the next 3 days as this meandering storm unleashes its fury and I'll keep you updated with the highest winds, waves, storm surge, rain and snow amounts.

Don't know why anyone from NWS or any other ogranization hasn't called this an all out blizzard. I think sometimes they just get carried away when cities are involved. Mount Pocono, Long Valley, NJ and many towns in NW New Jersey have fit the criteria. This is not even comparable to a couple of weeks ago when NWS posted Blizzard warning for almost all of NJ and nothing happened, the wind didn't even materialize. Maybe thats why they haven't pulled the trigger. Hopefully, accuweather will call it a blizzard for some parts

Hi Jesse,
It's really snowing here in Phila. PA. Do you think we will have school tomorrow, or a 2 hour delay? Thanx.

Hi Jesse,
I know this is unrelated but blizzard warnings went up again for some Western NC counties. I've been here 8 years and have never seen 1 blizzard warning, much less 2 in the span of 2 weeks. What a wild winter! Please turn on the heat when you get a chance, I'm ready for spring!

Joe in Monroe, NY:
Almost 13 inches and counting. I am finally tired of snow! This is going to be worse than the December 2003 storm (22 inches) because of the strong winds predicted. Thank goodness we have a back-up generator.

5 inches since 6AM this morning at Chalk Hill Pa (SW Pa Laurel Highlands)with periodic heavy snow showers. Wind at 20 to 30 miles an hour now causing poor visiblity during the snow showers. I wonder if the snow will become steadier as the day goes by and overnight.
