Severe Weather Outbreak Continues
NOTE: Some animations from yesterday's storms are available here; I will add more on Monday.
NINE TORNADO REPORTS (8 IN SOUTH DAKOTA)
WINDS UP TO 76 MPH (IOWA)...
- Semi-trucks blown over on I-80 in South Dakota and Highway 6 in Nebraska and one was "blown into power lines" in Minnesota.
- In Iowa, people were trapped in their house when a large tree fell on it.
- A large road sign was wrapped around a pole in Minnesota
HAIL UP TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER (NEBRASKA)...
- Roads covered with hail in South Dakota
- Hail lasted for 10 minutes in Michigan
Today's outbreak (based on the SPC not issuing a Moderate Risk yet, though they often do at noon, so stay tuned) should not be as severe as yesterdays and the main threats will be wind and hail.
