Severe Thunderstorm Rakes D.C. Area

A severe thunderstorm which could (for this time of morning and location) only be referred to as "badass," raked over the Washington D.C. area and out into the Chesapeake Bay this morning. According to the Washington Post, over 115,000 are without power and traffic is tied up due to the lack of traffic signals. Per the IEM Cow, as of this writing (10:00 AM), the storm has generated 11 Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood and Marine Warnings. It's left a trail of Spotter Reports regarding hail, wind (measured up to 67 mph) and flooding.
According to AccuWeather.com LightningPlus, the storm has dropped over 15,000 lightning strikes in the past two hours.
Here are some radar shots of the storm showing a bow echo formation (from MapSpace) as it progressed (download a radar loop here) - as of this writing the southeast area of the storm looks like it might be forming an MCV.
