Severe Storm Damage in Minnesota
The severe storms I was talking about last night roared through Minnesota, sparking the following reports:
- 2800 are without power this morning in the Twin Cities
- 5 inches of rain fell in 90 minutes south of Big Lake, MN
- Hail to 2.75" in diameter was reported at Cokato, MN
- 10 houses damaged in Greenfield, MN
The image below from AccuWeather.com RadarPlus shows the widespread heavy rain that fell, as estimated by Doppler Radar -- the white and grey areas northwest of the Twin Cities indicate that more than 4 and 5 inches of rain fell in those areas. Click for a larger image.
