Severe Northeast Risk - Henry and Jesse Alert
After writing that headline, I wondered if I was declaring a "Henry and Jesse Alert" (worse than a H&J watch but better than a warning), or if I was simply just stating that Meteo Madness Man (PREMIUM | PRO) and I are, in fact, alert to the situation today in the Northeast, as we came in dragging cameras and tripods this morning.
Either way, there's going to be a widespread severe weather outbreak in the Northeast today. It's no June 8th (when we had a large tornado risk) but we're solidly in The SPC [JessePedia]'s Slight Risk area, so that's something. [The SPC says that severe weather risk in this area will be limited to mostly hail and wind as thunderstorms pop up ahead of the front, possibly west and east of the Appalachians, this afternoon. Already this morning a storm is popping up as far east as Akron, Ohio.
But Henry's not convinced and believes that the storms could possibly skip right over our part of the state, leaving us in the stable air between the front in the western part of the state and the lee trough in the eastern part.
