We have been seeing hail and wind reports (to 75 mph in KY) from Texas to Kentucky, but only one tornado in Wisconsin and one in Michigan. Today's story has been a long line of storms sparking incredible numbers of Severe Thunderstorm Warnings, with over 230 issued as of 8 PM Eastern.
But today's continued flooding, on top of Friday's, has proved deadly, killing at least nine in flood-related traffic accidents in Kentucky (Reuters | more). The 12-inch area on Doppler precipitation estimate maps widened this afternoon.
