RP: Storm Causes Rainbow, Henry Plane Crash
A small storm moved over State College, Pennsylvania yesterday afternoon. I knew there would be a rainbow afterwards because the storm was isolated. Sure enough, the sun came out after it passed through and I took some photos, some of which you can see below (see all photos here):
You can actually see the raindrops if you look closely at this photo and this one shows light supernumeraries. My webcam at home caught the rainbow too, in fact it caught a secondary rainbow that I didn't see when I was taking the digital camera pics.
Here's what AccuWeather.com RadarPlus looked like over my house yesterday at the time that I took the picture. The grey colors show clouds on the visible satellite, and as you can see there was plenty of breaks in the clouds around the storm (I was taking the photos at home (the "X") when this image was taken).
