Poll: Tornado Safety Clash: Should I Stay Or Go?
UPDATE: The Red Cross & NWS have issued an updated, joint statement that says (drum roll please...) do both.
"Should I Stay or Should I Go?" --The Clash
There's a controversy abrewin' this week. It all started with a blog post by a professor at the University of Maryland (the blog post was later deleted but is still available on Google's Cache); this blog post (which is still there) gives a more unbiased summary. It seems that the Red Cross said that staying in your vehicle when a tornado is on top of you might not be such a bad idea (historically NWS & Red Cross procedures recommended evacuation to a ditch). Now, the two organizations are going to get together to draw up new guidelines. All of this is covered in the "Clear the Air" video below, starring Henry Margusity and Evan Myers.

1. A Poll in the AccuWeather.com Facebook Page. Current Results As Of 8 AM:
2. A Poll in the AccuWeather.com Forums. Current Results As Of 8 AM:
My personal opinion (as I stated on the Forums) is:

It's hard to argue the new car rule, because there has been so much negative said about it in the past, by not only the government but famous veteran storm chasers such as Chuck Doswell:
And Roger Edwards:
