One person was killed in a multi-car pile up in Kansas today (12/22) as a winter storm lumbered through the state. It happened Saturday on Interstate 70 between Manhattan and Topeka in Wabaunsee County. Authorities say a semi slowed down and some cars that were apparently driving too fast for conditions plowed into it, causing a chain reaction. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a bus carrying soldiers from Ft. Riley to the Kansas City Airport was also involved in that accident. Some of the soldiers who were medics got off the bus to help those in need. Tonight, a portion of the Interstate remains closed until the mess is cleared.
