Plains Blizzard Upgraded to 5 Feet

Storm Central in South Dakota - Apr. 20, 2006 - Officials from various agencies work in the state emergency operations center at Pierre, S.D., in the aftermath of a spring blizzard that crippled much of western South Dakota. Nearly 5 feet of snow fell in portions of the Black Hills. (AP Photo/ Joe Kafka)
