Photos of the Awesome AccuWeather Rainbow
UPDATE: I really have to give Henry credit for calling me -- I was sitting here with the blinds shut, webcam displays off, clueless. That's what we weather weenies have to do - keep an eye on the sky for each other. P.S.: The rainbow is now featured in our local newspaper - from their perspective, PSU's Beaver Stadium was at the end of the rainbow.
I've worked at AccuWeather for 10 years... during that time I've taken many pictures of the AccuWeather building. Since that time, I've waited for a good rainbow picture like meteorologist Frank Strait got in 2005.
This morning about 8:30 I'm sitting at my desk and I get a call from a frantic Henry (PREMIUM | PRO), telling me that he's driving to work and there's a huge rainbow outside. I just happened to have brought my good camera with me today in case there was any wind damage to photograph. So on this mild (50 degrees) but blustery and rainy January morning, I rushed from my desk at AccuWeather HQ and withstood 40 mph winds and driving rain to snap these pics:

*Technically, no :) But it was cool to get the primary, secondary, and reflection of both in the same pic. Not counting relflections from objects, it is possible to see four rainbows at the same time, but it's extremely rare.
