Four people were killed in traffic accidents and flights have been cancelled in the Plains due to this weekend's ice and sleet storm (Fox News & others).

The first shot of ice is fading in the Ohio Valley this morning as it starts up again in Oklahoma. Check out the radar animation of the storm so far.

More than an inch of sleet is rare and even a tenth of an inch of rain is more than enough to make roads slick and down power lines. More than a half of inch of freezing rain is rare.
