Pennsylvania Severe Risk Saturday
UPDATE:The morning hi-res WRF run shows much more scattered precip during the day and one big line coming through Pennsylvania from NW to SE from 5pm to 11 PM.
I think Central and Western Pennsylvania has one of it's most solid predictions for a good severe weather day Saturday this season (of course that's not saying much if you look at the map of severe weather reports I posted yesterday - there were literally none in June). We're "solid in" (not on the edge) of the Slight Risk outlined by the SPC...
As SPC says, the main enemy will be the cloud cover because (as the model says) storms will be ongoing Saturday morning. But they are hopeful with CAPE to 1000 and a strong low-level jet stream. They agree with the model that some storms will evolve into bow echoes later in the day (though the model says that will be in New York State).
