Pennsylvania Freezing Wed. Morning
Some of the coldest temperatures in the nation Wednesday morning were in Pennsylvania, as a late-season cold outbreak temporarily took over the northern parts of the United States.
I recorded 26 degrees at my house here in State College, PA. Rain that fell yesterday evening froze on surfaces, such as decks and car roofs, then frost grew on top of that (see photo below).
MY CAR ROOF GETS ICE THEN FROST
A query to our surface database on AccuWeather.com Professional indicated that minimum temperatures were as low as 21 in Bradford, PA this morning.

Those cold morning temperatures are expected to moderate, but only slowly, through the weekend.
