PacNW: 100 MPH, 35-Foot Waves
Heavy weather has returned to the Pacific Northwest, after a brief respite. Waves of 35 feet have been observed by a buoy off the Oregon coast. Up to 18 inches of snow has been reported (at Maria's Pass, Montana).
Wind gusts topped out at 108 mph at White Pass, Oregon, before that station stopped transmitting. Below is a list of wind gusts over 70 mph in Washington and Oregon, according to ROMAN (The Government Mesonet) and other NWS [JessePedia] reports. Links are real-time; graphs are archived.NOTE: Many of these stations are unofficial with no quality control, but the observations looked reasonable to me.
