Other Impressive Western Photos
Snow and Fall Foliage may have been the main theme in the weather photos that I examined in my previous post, but I didn't want to leave out these other two incredible photos taken this week by our Photo Gallery users:
First, from ShebaJo, a photo (taken on Thursday) shot from Clifton, Colorado, showing a rainbow and cloud shadow on Mount Garfield:
She says "Just after a thunderstorm, still sprinkling, I got a call to shoot the double rainbow. Nice double, but the rainbow showing on the mountain was cool too."
Next, from Bill Westphal (wb6ypf on our gallery), a shot from Friday above the clouds in the Angeles National Forest near Mount Wilson, California [Wikipedia]:
Bill says "The Marine Layer was VERY DEEP today. We took a drive into the Angeles National Forest to set up some radio equipment for an upcoming 100 Mile Endurance Run through the mountains. We were driving through clouds above 5400 foot elev. This is a shot of Mount Milson (5700 ft) looking down from Mount Waterman at just over 8000 ft elev."
