ORIGINAL REPORT: The historic October snowstorm is ending in Maine this morning. States of Emergency have been declared in New York, CT, MA & NJ. 2.5 million people lost power (MSNBC) and power companies are warning it may be more than a week before it's restored.
Many big-city records were broken. On land, winds gusted to 69 mph at Barnstable, Mass. Coastal flooding was reported in Massachusetts. As of this writing (9 AM Sunday), waves just spiked from 24 to 27 feet at a buoy off of Cape Cod.
