For some reason I woke up this morning feeling like Stan Smith with the "American Dad" Theme Song (hear it here) running through my head. My chin felt a little more robust than usual, so I hopped in my small SUV and headed to my job at the CIA... er... AccuWeather.

Maybe it was the 4 miles I walked yesterday... (virtually, on the elliptical machine, too darn cold to walk outside)

Maybe it was the fact that I sold enough junk on eBay last night to justify the Christmas presents I had already bought myself...

Maybe it was the fact that both doctor and dentist appointments are over for another 6-12 months...

Maybe it was just the approaching Christmas holiday and time off from work...

But I felt pretty good. It's inspired me to whisk some work off the table here at AccuWeather pre-vacation, so if you'll bear with me this morning, I'm going to crank up XM 83 (the disco station) and plow through some work. I'll give you a much-needed Christmas Storm update this afternoon after the 12Z GFS comes in.

P.S.: Today I'm wearing the Black Jungle Bird Hawaiian shirt, made famous by "Magnum P.I." in the 1980s.
