NW: Landslides, Wind, 2 Feet of Snow
Widespread minor flooding and some landslides were reported yesterday in the Pacific Northwest. Rain gauge data was sparse on Wednesday but over 6 inches of rain has been reported by some rain gauges in Portland, Oregon. At least one USGS station reported over 10 inches of rain since January 4th, and National Weather Service Precipitation Estimates (see below) indicated over 10 inches of rain in the last week in many locations. The National Weather Service reported some areas of Washington State were over flood stage (red areas on the image below).

20 inches of snow was reported at half a dozen different locations around Spokane, Washington during the past two days. Locations reporting over 20 inches:
Quartz Peak, WA: 25"
Schweitzer Mountain, ID: 24"
Park Creek Ridge, WA: 21"
Winds gusted over 55 mph at some locations in Washington and Idaho. A tree fell on a house in Jefferson, Washington but no injuries were reported. Click here for a story and photo from KGW.com (free subscription required). The National Weather Service listed these reports:
