Severe weather advisories are posted across the Pacific Northwest tonight as the area prepares for the first big winter storm to hit early this week. Over 6 inches of rain has already fallen in the past 24 hours.
Flooding will occur as more than 10 inches of additional rain falls in BC, Washington and Oregon before it's all said and done.
The WaveWatch III Forecast Model [JessePedia] shows 36-foot waves hitting the southern tip of British Columbia and 30-foot waves powering into the Washington coast Tuesday.
And finally, wind gusts could reach 80 mph along the BC, Washington and Oregon coasts tonight and Monday, spreading into Montana on Tuesday.
