Northeast Storm Track Map, Future

The reason for the historical flooding this week in New England was a storm system that simply wouldn't go away. Here is the track that the storm took over the past week:
A stalled high pressure system in the Canadian Maritimes has prevented this storm system from moving forward, but the system will finally break through and move out of the U.S. midweek.
But don't be fooled! An active storm track will keep unsettled weather over the Northeast even after our pesky storm moves away.
And remember, the GFS predicted it.
