New England Doused on Thanksgiving
AUTHOR'S NOTES (2012): This was my second year blogging for AccuWeather. In addition to the weather events described below during Thanksgiving week 2006, it snowed on Tuesday in Florida, then I took a bunch of great weather photos on Thanksgiving Eve. I about busted my butt on Black Friday black ice here in Central Pennsylvania.

ORIGINAL BLOG: Yesterday's all-day rain event brought over 6 inches of rain to parts of New England. The Macy's Day Parade was threatened with cancellation, but ended up going on, albeit soaked, when winds dropped low enough to fly the balloons.
