Morning Beryl Update, Water Temps
Tropical Storm Beryl is just off the coast of North Carolina this morning, and the models bring it literally up the East Coast over the next couple of days. Below is a shot this morning from AccuWeather.com RadarPlus.
The storm is about to track over the Gulf Stream, so strengthening is possible (see water temperature images below from our AccuWeather.com Professional site).
WATER TEMPERATURES TODAY (RED= >80 F)
The water temperatures beyond Boston are warmer than usual, so this could keep the storm from weakening as much as it usually does in that area.
WATER TEMP. ANOMALIES (ORANGE= >+1.5 F)
The recon is flying out of the storm at the moment, so winds in their reports are light.
If you're looking to monitor satellite images, the Carolina sector is a good bet: Visible (PREMIUM | PRO) | Infrared (PREMIUM | PRO).
