Moisture From Tomas Feeds Into Coastal Storm

The remnants of Hurricane Tomas fed moisture into the deepening coastal storm over southern New England this morning, which is bringing rain, sleet and snow to the area. The infrared satellite image (loop) from MapSpace last night at 10:00 showed the connection in effect:
The water vapor image (loop) from early yesterday morning showed the connection of moisture in the upper atmosphere beginning:
And despite the light nature of the precipitation, one of our Facebook Fans Erich T. managed to make "the world's tiniest snowman" in Connecticut this morning:
