Moderate Risk Threatens East
Severe weather is possible today in parts of the eastern U.S. which have not yet experienced it this season, including parts of the Ohio Valley. But the worst weather will primarily be in Illinois and Indiana.
The SPC [JessePedia] has issued a Moderate Risk of severe thunderstorms for the farthest east locations yet this season (I believe). They say:
This strong front is ahead of the unusually cold weather which will blast the East Coast this weekend. The SPC believes that thunderstorms will develop along the front this afternoon and form a squall line which will have widespread damaging winds and a risk for large hail and tornadoes.
