Moderate Risk Shifts East to Mid-Atlantic
UPDATE: Over 300 reports of severe weather were received from the mid-Atlantic this evening. We had several lines of thunderstorms go through here; I have a couple of hours of videotape to go through tomorrow evening. Meantime, check out a quick lightning snap I posted to the Forums. There I also show an image of the current Central Pennsylvania Radar - PLEASE NOTE at 10 PM the data in the northern part of the state is NOT storms, but rather the radar beam running into the mountains.
UPDATE: OK they kept us in the Moderate Risk which means that local storm chasers are on alert. I'm leaving work early at 1:30 PM to run some errands so I'll get my cameras charged up and hopefully you'll see some footage of severe weather here later today. Right now severe storms are developing around Buffalo, NY and the 4-KM WRF says that trend will coninue and the storms will build southwestward into the Pittsburgh area by 4 PM, then move east.
Another Moderate risk today for the mid-Atlantic, even here in State College, Pennsylvania, home of AccuWeather HQ (but I'm waiting for The SPC [JessePedia] to drop us out of it at noon as they did last time).
