Moderate Risk For Pennsylvania!
Today's monster storm is shown on the map below (pressure/wind/satellite/radar) via AccuWeather.com RadarPlus.
It's rare to see a Moderate Risk of severe thunderstorms issued by the SPC (average 6-8 a year maybe).
It's even more rare to see one issued in here in Pennsylvania (average probably 0-2 per year).
And it's even more rare to see a Moderate Risk issued in December.
Today, we have all three. Yesterday, we brought you Henry's prediction that a major severe weather outbreak was likely. This morning the SPC upgraded their Slight Risk to a Moderate and says:
